CCM Machinery Co., LTD offers the PSD series which was designed to accommodate longer parts with larger head diameters. By utilizing 2, 3, 4, and 6 camera options this machine is able to check for product straightness and head cracks. These camera options enhance our field of view thus increasing our ability for a more precise and efficient sort. The PSD series is a rotary dial type inspection system. This machine feeds from a vibratory feeder into a track system and then into the rotary dials system. The parts then index through the dial system and through various stages of inspection by the cameras. These parts are then analyzed and compared to the specifications from the customer's requirements or blue prints and the machine then determines if the product is in accordance with the specifications that were provided. If the part is in non-conformance, the machine will send the part to the reject chute. If however the part is in conformance or within or within specification it is allowed to pass into the good chute. This is all done at speeds of 60 to 100 PPM depending on the part configuration and the sort criteria. This machine is specifically designed to sort standard screws with a diameter range of 8mm to 16mm and a length range of 125mm to 250mm. In addition, with CCM's multiple camera options we can add our LS-1501 patented 360 degree side crack detection system. The PSD series can sort for all the following criteria: - Head height
- Head width
- Recess depth
- Recess Presence
- Incomplete threads under the head
- Root diameters of the head
- Major diameter or the outside diameter
- Thread angle and distance
- Point quality
- Overall length and under the head
- Recess alignment
- Head marking
- Top head crack
- Bent Screw
There are also optional features that CCM offers which are: - 360 degree side crack detection
- 360 thread damage inspection
