Top Precision Company Rod Reheading machines enable the user to manufacture precision formed parts with difficult and unique geometries that would otherwise require machining, shaving and turning. Many of the parts currently being manufactured on these machines were previously screw machined. The screw machine process is not only slow but also wasteful since much of the material is removed from the final part. This Reheader allows the user to re-feed cold headed parts into the machine and form the part utilizing two additional blows. Rod Heading can be suited with a rack feeding unit or hand feed in conjunction with the foot pedal engagement. The product length is almost limitless and the advantage of the Rod Header is that it can do extra long parts. The patented clamping system ensures that any mating die lines will be reduced drastically and in most cases eliminated. The manufacturing speed on these machines will vary from 15 to 90 pieces per minute controlled by a variable speed inverter while maintaining very tight tolerances. All mechanism adjustments are located on the user side and are easily accessible. The machine is equipped with an air clutch and brake system and the speed is controlled by a vari-drive unit.
