3View Processor Monitoring Company offers AFDEX, Advisor for Forming Design Expert. AFDEX is a general purpose metal forming simulator made with new concepts for the end user. It is developed with color coding all which mean different things. When working with forging tonnage per station it works in conjunction with each station and their parts and tooling. Looking at the AFDEX simulation you can then adjust the design which can change or alter where stress is on tooling/parts being formed. This enables the user better tooling with more up time and it alleviates unnecessary breakage with machine capabilities versus the actual parts. The system can be integrated from existing CAD drawings and then can be utilized with the current system. There are 2 different versions of AFDEX available, 2D and 3D.
